If you live in a big city, your body must be filled with chemicals and toxins which are from the air, water, and food pollution. Accordingly we breathe, drink, and eat everyday some of these chemicals and toxins. This is no surprise as car emit smoke, industries discharge chemicals on the rivers, and food processing factories remain using chemicals and preservatives. The best solution would be to leave the city and go live somewhere in the countryside. At best in the middle of green, drink pure water, eat fresh healthy food, and breathe clean air.

Detox cleanse – The first steps

Nevertheless, we have to deal with reality due to our jobs and lifestyles. For now we cannot go to enjoy our future ranch yet but we can help by cleansing our body through a body detox cleanse.

As a first step in a good detox cleanse it is absolutely necessary to quit drinking alcohol. The liver, that underrated organ whom nobody never thinks about until it fails, has a hard time breaking down alcohol into smaller, simpler elements that can be discharged from the body. In fact, high quantities of alcohol can easily damage the liver and as a consequence cover it with scar tissue, which will sometimes result in cirrhosis.

The next step is to stop smoking immediately, this will be included in any detox cleanse treatment. That is because tobacco is full of dozens of toxins that harm and poison or body slowly but certainly. Many other long term benefits will result from quitting smoking. The most important is the reduction of your cancer risk.

Detox cleanse treatments will in every case include drinking at least half a gallon of water a day. Our body’s natural detoxification processes uses water in order to expel toxins either through sweat or urine.

    Physical exercises

It is unavoidable for a detox cleanse, doing some physical exercises. We are continually sweating, even if we do not really recognise it. That is because sweating is a natural constant process that our body uses for a natural detox. When we do physical exercise, we accelerate the process and consequently eliminate even more toxins. When we smell bad after exercise, it is because our nose is telling us that we have to wash off the toxins that we eliminated through the pores.

    Support from the family

For some people it can be very hard following a detox cleanse. If that is your case, just try to get someone from your family or friends to join you at least in one aspect of the detox cleanse. For example if you have children you might practice a sport together with them. Spouses can try to help each other by quitting alcohol or tobacco at the same time.

Finally, if you are under medical treatment or you have a permanent medical condition, you should consult a physician before you take on a detox cleanse treatment, in order to assure that you are not subjecting your body to more stress than it can actually handle.
